The band is the piece here, not the stone. It is mokume gane — layers of different metals stacked, forged and carved back so the pattern surfaces like woodgrain. On top sits a round garnet, dark and warm, with one small silver ball beside it.
Mokume patterns cannot be reproduced; this band exists once. The ring people ask about, then ask about again once you explain the metal.
