Hi, I'm Tatiana, the person behind Facet and Finish.

By day, I have a full-time job. By every other hour, I'm a full-time mom. And somewhere in the cracks of evenings and weekends, after the emails are answered and the kid is asleep, I teach myself metalsmithing.

I taught myself silversmithing with just a workbench, a stubborn amount of patience, and a lot of trial and error with sterling silver and stone. Every skill I have, I picked up one late night at a time — piece by piece, mistake by mistake, and eventually, piece by finished piece.

I started this because I needed something quiet and slow in a life that's usually loud and fast. Turns out, that "something" grew into a whole shop.

Every piece here is made by hand, from start to finish, by me. I choose each stone myself, and I try to let its natural character lead the design rather than force it into something it's not. If a gem has an unusual inclusion or an imperfect edge, that usually becomes my favorite part of the piece.
