Sea glass, cut with six straight edges.
Sixty-three millimeters tall — one of the largest pendants I've made. A hexagonal faceted stone in soft, semi-translucent teal, the exact color of glass that's spent a decade in the sea.
The hexagon is what rescues it. A round or oval stone at this size starts to look like a plate; six straight edges keep it architectural, deliberate, more like a shard than a slab. I bezel-set it plainly and filed each of the six corners of the bezel square, because a hexagon with soft corners is just a bad circle.
The rope-textured bail is the only decoration, and it's there for a practical reason — a long clean run of silver above a big stone looks unfinished, and the twist breaks it up.
Measurements:
63 mm (H) x 33 mm (W) — 2 1/2 x 1 1/4 inches
It wears bold and calm at the same time, which is a hard combination to get. The scale announces you; the color tells everyone to relax.
Cut once, set once, and gone once it goes.
Chain Options:
The listed price includes an 18 inch, 2 mm sterling silver chain. If you would like something different — longer, heavier, oxidized, or steel instead of silver — send me a message before you order and I will walk you through the options.
Shipping: Free shipping on all orders over $200.
