Kyanite and Amethyst Three-Stone Drop Earrings in Sterling Silver

Kyanite is a cerebral blue. Cool, slightly streaky, with a fibrous inner glow, and it shifts tone depending on the angle you view it from because the mineral is strongly pleochroic. Amethyst is the opposite temperament: composed, regal, unbothered.

I framed the amethyst between two kyanites so the color runs blue into violet and back out again. That gradient is the whole idea, and it only works because the stones were hand-matched across a tray until the step between them felt like one continuous move.

Every solder joint on these was filed flush by hand, which is invisible work you'd only notice if I'd skipped it. That's most of what I do, honestly.

Wearing them feels quietly elegant. Jewel-toned without being formal, the sort of pair that makes a plain outfit look considered.
