Two cool blues, no warm note anywhere. Kyanite is the cerebral one — deep, slightly fibrous, with a glow that comes from inside the crystal structure. Aquamarine beside it is all calm: pale, clear, unhurried, the color of shallow water on a still morning.
I wanted to see how far a pair of earrings could go using only blue, with nothing to break it up. Side by side these read as one continuous gradient rather than two separate stones, so I kept the settings plain and let the tonal step do the work.
