Violet-Flash Labradorite Oval Pendant in Sterling Silver

Fifty millimeters of northern lights.

Blue-violet flash, strong and saturated, across 50 mm of stone. This is one of the boldest labradorites I have set, and it barely needed me at all.

Violet in labradorite is uncommon. The flash color depends on how thick the internal layering is, and violet sits at a thickness that rarely survives the cutting process. When it does, the effect against a dark body is almost theatrical.

I bezel-set it plainly. Every file mark on the frame was worked out before polishing so that not a single line of silver competes with the stone.

It wears powerful. Long, dark, and then suddenly lit, and it changes the whole tone of what you are wearing.
