Triangular Labradorite Pendant in Sterling Silver with Open Frame

Frosted flash and a sharper silhouette.

A triangular labradorite with soft blue-white flash — cool, almost frosted, quieter than the electric blues but with a sharper silhouette to compensate.

I set it in an open frame rather than a closed bezel, with ball detailing at the corners, so light reaches the stone from behind as well as the front. That's why the flash reads so pale and clean: it's being lit from both sides.

I built this frame by hand, filing each edge straight against the light rather than against a rule.

40 mm (H) x 30 mm (W) — 1 5/8 x 1 1/8 inches

Architectural on the chest. It wears modern and a little severe, in the way a good building is severe. One stone, one frame, and no second attempt.
