Golden-brown flash instead of blue — the warm end of labradorite, which reads antique rather than electric. Old brass, late afternoon, something found in a drawer.
To lean into that, I built an ornate bezel with ball detailing worked along its edge rather than my usual plain wall. Warm labradorite is one of the few stones I'll allow a decorative setting, because it doesn't have the electric blue's need for silence around it.
Each of those balls was melted, placed and soldered one at a time. Every solder joint had to be clean enough to disappear — with beading, a sloppy seam shows instantly.
It wears like an heirloom. People assume it's inherited, which I take as the highest compliment available.
Size 7.5. Warm flash like this comes along rarely, and this teardrop came along once.
