Pietersite is sometimes called the tempest stone, and one good piece explains why: blue-gray chatoyance moving through dense dark material in bands that seem to shift as you tilt it. Beneath it hangs orange druzy — raw crystal, sugary, warm, glittering in an entirely different register. Silky against gritty, cool against warm.
